Question 1
If I were told to describe my artistic style I would probably say realism. I know not all of my work is were realistic, but that is always what I am going for. As an artist I would define success as enjoying what you are doing and the final product. Of course you cannot love all of you pieces, but I believe to be successful you should enjoy most of the things you create. It shows that you created something yourself and you should be proud of that. Also you should always love what you are doing and that makes you successful because you are following your heart. What I find most rewarding as an artist is the final product itself. Once you are finished you can continuously look back at it and think way I made this, I created this piece. I think that feeling is the best. When creating my work I obvious use artist skills like value, blending, precision, and things like that. On the mental side of things I try to stay positive about my pieces, so I don't get frustrated and just give it up all together when it has great potential. One of the most significant things I learned about art making is that your piece can turn out very different than what you planned on. Most times this is a good thing because you change it depending on what you want it to look like, so then it becomes a piece you like.

Question 6
My favorite medium is colored pencil. I don't think my final piece turned out the best, but I really enjoyed making it. Even the little projects like creating the color wheel was fun for me. I feel like I mastered the techniques in the medium easily because our class took the time to watch Ms. Rossi and try to copy her skills when learning about value. Value is important in every piece of art. I think value itself is difficult but it becomes a little easier when using colored pencils. Another

possible reason I enjoy and am decent at colored pencil is because of some of my friends. A couple of my friends are very skilled artists and they used colored pencil is almost all of their drawings. I ask them about it a lot because I would love to learn more and get better. I probably used some of their teachings when working on this project.
Question 7
The one project that I think was the least successful was my first project, the pen and ink picture. I did a picture of an airplane wing from the a window inside the plane. First off this was my first project this semester, so it wasn't bound to be the best. In art one we didn't send a lot of time with pen so I found this project difficult. The thing about this project that turned out the worse was the value. I had to go back in and add more value. The problem was it was with patterns, so you can't just go back and make it dark; I had to repeat the pattern many times until it got dark enough. Also when I did the actually wing it turned out a lot darker

than I was planning, so that meant the background would have to be darker than I was planning. In one of the mini projects I thought I did really well with the value, so I thought it'd be the same skill level in the final. That was not the case apparently.
